<h2><a name="P96_3711"></a><b>Selecting Knowledge Builder Server Location</b></h2>

<nr class = "norm">By default, a Knowledge Builder Client targets the Server location defined during installation as its primary content connection. This location is called the <b>System Default Server</b>. The targeted Server location can be changed during run-time without closing the Knowledge Builder Client, restarting the computer on which the Client is running, or uninstalling/reinstalling the Client.</nr><br>

<nr class = "norm">Determining or changing the current Server connection can be helpful in troubleshooting Knowledge Builder access problems, provide alternative content locations when a remote Server must be upgraded or taken off-line, and provide a simple method to improve Client performance or reduce network traffic impact.</nr><br>
