  <BR><FONT FACE="Arial" COLOR="#0000a0" SIZE="2">Each bookset includes its own full-text search index built from that bookset's unique content. By default, each bookset is set to active when it is first installed, permitting it to be listed in the <B>Contents</B> tab's topic window and its search index to be initialized into memory.</FONT>
<BR><FONT FACE="Arial" COLOR="#0000a0" SIZE="2">Search index initialization occurs each time the Knowledge Builder is launched (or whenever you make a change to the indexes to be initialized). Having multiple search indexes active when the Knowledge Builder is launched delays the startup time. To improve your startup time, you can select only a minimum number of booksets to be included in a search function. Doing so will also improve search time and produced results by limiting the booksets the search operation is performed against. </FONT></P></UL>
