    <UL><BR><FONT FACE="Times New Roman" SIZE="+0">The Knowledge Builder may be started from external Honeywell and non-Honeywell applications. These applications may elect to:</FONT><BR>

      <UL><UL><UL TYPE="DISC"><LI><FONT FACE="Times New Roman" SIZE="-1"></FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> Simply start Knowledge Builder and display the main start-up interface</FONT></LI><BR>


      <LI><FONT FACE="Times New Roman" SIZE="-1"></FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> Start Knowledge Builder and initiate the display of certain tools (e.g. Search tool)</FONT></LI><BR>


      <LI><FONT FACE="Times New Roman" SIZE="-1"></FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> Start Knowledge Builder and request that it display certain user information content.</FONT></LI><BR>

    <UL><UL><BR><FONT FACE="Times New Roman" SIZE="+0">For example, on the <B>Help</B> menu in Control Builder shown in the following figure, you can click <B>Knowledge Builder</B> to open the Knowledge Builder with its default <B>Contents</B> tab active; or click <B>Knowledge Builder Search</B> to open Knowledge Builder with its <B>Search</B> tab active. </FONT><BR>

For example,on the Hardware View of the Honeywell Assetmax Alert Manager Appplication shown in the Figure below, clicking on the <B>Knowledge Builder</B> child node of the <B>CIOMA_DI_3</B> hardware node displays the Knowledge Builder's QuickNav page for that device.</FONT><BR>
