<h2><a name="P49_1291"></a><b>Launching Knowledge Builder Administration Utility</b></h2>

<nr class = "norm">The Knowledge Builder (KB) Administration Utility launches as a separate application and includes its own access control mechanisms. It provides a managed environment, accessible only by those with approved privileges, for Client, Server, and Administrator setup system administration functions.</nr><br>

  <ul><li class = "normbullet1"> You have installed Knowledge Builder version 4.3 or later on a computer running Windows. </li>

  <li class = "normbullet1"> You are logged onto the Knowledge Builder Client computer with Administrator privileges. Or, you have a valid Client key and Client password. </li>

  <li class = "normbullet1"> You have a valid Administration key and Administration password. </li>

</ul><p class="headingminor"><a name="P55_1957"></a><b>Considerations</b></p>

  <ul><li class = "normbullet1"> You are familiar with Knowledge Builder installation options. </li>

  <li class = "normbullet1"> You are familiar with interacting with dialog boxes on a computer running Windows.</li>

  <li class = "normbullet1"> The default Client key is: <b>kb_client_user</b></li>

  <li class = "normbullet1"> The default Client password is: <b>kb_client_password</b></li>

  <li class = "normbullet1"> The default Administration key is: <b>kb_admin_user</b></li>

  <li class = "normbullet1"> The default Administration password is: <b>kb_admin_password</b></li>

<li class = "normbullet1"> If you enter the wrong key and/or password, an <b>Access Denied</b> message appears that includes <b>Retry</b> and <b>Cancel</b> buttons. Click the <b>Retry</b> button to try entering key and password again. Click the <b>Cancel</b> button to quit the function. </li></ul>
